She became one of his assistants along with her late husband, Keller Breland. Marian and Keller worked on the WW2 project PELICAN, where pigeons were trained to guide bombs. Marian clicker trained her first dog in 1943!) Bob was the US Navy's dolphin project's first Director of Training. Sea World home page - Operant Conditioning may not have been invented by the marine mammal trainers but they have been using it longer than most dog trainers. Jean Donaldson has, in my opinion, written the “Bible of Dog Training” it is called The Culture Clash. Jean also has a CD about dog training and is planning a sequel to Culture Clash for release in Nov. 1998.

If Jean Donaldson has written the best dog book the Kong Kompany has made the best dog toy. Puppy Pals recommends a Kong for every dog. If you've never met a Kong or have one but don't know how to use it, you need to visit this site. Be sure to go their “How to Use it Page.”
